Graphic Design Quick Tip: centering things

Here’s a quick note on centering elements on a page. If you want a center-oriented layout, just be mindful of the content and flow of your elements. For example, if you have long and short copy bullets, they can start to look unbalanced if they’re spread too wide across the page. Overall balance is something you’ll just develop a feel for over time.

Here are a couple not-well-designed centering examples, just to demonstrate what I mean:



In the second example, the column is narrower and the type bullets (greek copy) work together, because they’re more uniform. The images are sized similarly as well, so it all works together. Bad design example, but you get the idea.
